Simple Brownies

Simple Brownies

Time: 15 minutes

Makes: 3 large “brownie cakes” or 6 regular “brownie cakes”

One of my favorite foods are brownies (Yum!), and sometimes I have a middle-of-the-day craving for them. So this is my new go-to recipe for a small batch of brownies!

Ingredients:

2 tbsp. butter

¼ cup chocolate chips

2 tbsp. brown sugar

2 tbsp. white sugar

2 pinches salt

½ of an egg

3 tbsp. all-purpose flour

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350*F and grease pan(s).

Combine the butter and chocolate chips while melting them in a small saucepan.

Once completely smooth, pour into a heat-proof bowl and mix in sugars and salt.

Then add in the egg, mix well, and finally add the flour. Stir.

Pour into prepared pans and bake for 9-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the brownie(s) comes out clean.

Serve with icing sugar, whipped cream, or any other favorite topping. Enjoy!

 I know I haven't posted for a bit so heres a few sentences for you to read :)

As we start this school season up again - and a time of special fall festivities - let us not only reflect on what we did, but prepare for what lies ahead. New adventures, new explorations, new seasons of life to enter.

Wonder is a book about August Pullman, a boy who was born with a facial deformity. It is his first year going to formal school at Beecher Prep. Auggie is just an ordinary kid with an extraordinary face. But can he convince his new classmates that he's just like them?

This book will make you laugh, cry, and smile every time you turn the page, and you will want to read it over and over again!

I would recommend this book for ages 10 and up.

Tips for Studying

Here are some tips for studying!

1. Have someone read the vocabulary to you, and you write down the answer. (Such as "What is an atom?" you would write down your answer to that question).
2. Use Quizlet. quizlet.com is a great website for studying for tests, exams, and quizzes!
3. Use flashcards. Flashcards will help refresh your memory for studying and are a great way to remember facts and vocabulary!

Staying Focused

Are you struggling to stay focused? Trying to keep up in school, your job, or your life? Here are some tips on staying focused.

1. Prioritize. Take the most important thing that you have to do, and prioritize to get it done. 

2. Set a goal. If you are doing homework, set a goal to get it all done before a certain time. Try to get as much done as you can. Then, reward your self with something... free time, a treat, anything you want!

3. Use a planner. Planners are super, super, helpful for staying focused, on schedule, and in line. Use coloured pens, stickers, and decorate your planner in a fun way. Watch this video for more on planners. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-MmLPcwg6Zc
