Here is a simple art idea for you to try out!
Supplies: paper, masking tape, watercolour or watered-down acrylic paint (in blue, purple, red, light blue, black, and yellow), large and small paintbrush, and a black oil pastel.
| Start by taping 3-5 lines from top to bottom on the paper with masking tape. |
| Add some branches with small pieces of tape. |
| Paint blue streaks horizontally across the page. |
| Add purple streaks. |
| Add red streaks. |
| Add a few light blue streaks. |
| And finally some black. Let the paint dry. |
| Carefully peel off the masking tape to reveal "birch trees", and then paint little yellow dots to be the fireflies or stars. |
| Outline the trees with the black oil pastel, and add some lines along the edges. |
And you're done!
